step up and volunteer to help. Yes, it's a great deal of work, but it's also VERY satisfying to pull it off, and our membership never fails to thank those of us who make these events happen. This means that a sign of our collective and individual appreciation should be to participate in one or another meeting. We're an organization, so our "product" is only as good as our collective efforts.

Dan Soneson has recently reported back to us concerning further investigation of a new web hosting provider, and soon after you read this Newsletter, we should be moving to new cyber-digs. This new site will include some of the very Web 2.0 features we discussed in Vermont and promises to make membership in NERALLT even more stimulating.

See you in the Spring!

- Dick

1. NERALLT Meeting Conflicts

Discussion: Reasons for the low turnout for the Fall 2007 NERALLT conference may be in part to other higher education conferences being scheduled around the same time as the Fall 2007 NERALLT conference. One of particular note was the EDUCAUSE conference.

Resolved: When scheduling the Spring 2007 NERALLT conference, there should be a more extensive look into what other conferences could keep people from coming to NERALLT.

2. Increasing NERALLT Membership

Discussion: There was a discussion about how NERALLT could increase its membership. The call for papers for the Fall 2007 NERALLT conference was one way for getting to these potential members. The other idea for the future was to invite K-12 educators in the surrounding area of the next NERALLT conference to attend or present.
